Pillars of Health Overview

The main goal of being healthy is maintaining your body’s homeostasis. This is the “normal” state that your body wants to be in where all processes are functioning correctly, and you are taking in nutrients and detoxing toxins appropriately. Over the years I have been studying this and looking for routines and ways to bring my body back to this state. I have recently realized that everything seems to lead back to our ancestral state. Think back to before the modernized world, how did humans survive? They woke up to the sunrise, were outside all day, hunted and gathered their food, procured naturally filtered water, and were free from pollutants. This has led me to organize my health into the main pillars of health and looked into different technologies to help me get back to this homeostatic state. This is still a work in progress, but it has shown a benefit. Health can be broken down into 7 main pillars: Nourish well (eat well), Sleep well, hydrate well, detox well, ground well, breathe well, move well. In the following posts I will talk about each of these and will be drafting a tip sheet to tie it all back together so stay tuned!
